Your dad was a wonderful man. He was funny and smart and I loved his “aw shucks” naivete. I remember once when your mom and dad and Alfred and I went to Hollywood to see a play. Alfred and I were trying to explain to tell your dad about the hookers standing on the street corners. He wanted to know how you could tell if a person was a hooker. I think I said something like, “well, they kind of wear a uniform.” He was dumbfounded and sounded incredulous “A uniform?” Well, I had to explain about the tall shoes, very short skirt, skin-tight top, etc. We said “We’ll show you.” Would you believe that night the police actually did a sweep and their wasn’t a hooker to be seen. Oh well.
Please accept my condolences on his passing. He loved being near you and loved your sons very much.
